I used to work in an industry where I was often on photo shoots with top celebrity make-up artists. When it came to my wedding though, just one problem: I was now living 200 miles away from where those make-up artists where and wasn’t sure where to start with trusting someone to do my make-up… especially when our wedding was a very specific proposition. Small, a secret from most people we knew, low-key and outdoors. Luckily a few months before, Emma had done my make-up and had amazed me with how instinctively she got what I wanted. I’m not great at knowing how to describe the looks I like but it was like she was inside my head. I’m so glad she was available. Emma made me look like me but way better (!), bought into my whole look and even when I slung in a last minute “Fancy doing my hair too?” request without any earlier chat or practices, she rolled with the laidback vibe. And it worked! I loved my hair, I loved my make-up, I loved my chilled wedding morning getting pampered (and fed) in Emma’s spa. Emma is magic, instinctive, kind, creative and super-talented. And she beats those celeb make-up artists hands down xx
